A 16-YEAR-OLD boy who was arrested outside a mosque in Greenock has been charged with terrorism offences, police have confirmed.
The teenager was arrested outside the Inverclyde Islamic Centre, on Laird Street, in Greenock, on Thursday.
He has now been charged with terrorism offences and is expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday, January 27, Police Scotland has said.
A statement from the force said: “The 16-year-old youth who was arrested outside the Inverclyde Islamic Centre, Laird Street, Greenock, on Thursday January 23 2025, has been charged with terrorism offences and is expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday January 27 2025.”
