A sixteen-year-old male has been arrested after Greater Glasgow Police officers found him in possession of a sword with an 18-inch blade.
Police tweeted an image of the weapon that was recovered during a stop search in Glasgow City Centre on Saturday night (November 26).
The tweet read: "On Saturday night, DVRU officers patrolling within Glasgow city centre carried out a stop search on a 16 year old male who was found to be carrying this sword with an 18 inch blade. Male arrested and will appear in court at a later date. #NoKnivesBetterLives #GGDVRU "
