The cost of living crisis is set to deepen as the seasons change and we head into the colder months, with many worried about higher daily costs and rising energy bills, despite the UK Government’s new plan to freeze the price cap to £2,500 until 2024. The first part of the £650 cost of living payment support has already been paid out to millions of people on a low income or certain benefits, with more on the way for disabled and pensioner households.
However, many households will not qualify for extra cash help and the only support they can expect is the £400 energy bill reduction which will be paid directly to suppliers and deducted from accounts over six months starting in October.
Due to the current financial crisis intensifying the pressure on household budgets, more people are looking for additional sources of income. Matt Diggity, an online expert from DiggityMarketing.com, believes that online jobs are perfect for earning extra money, since they can be done remotely and most of them don’t have a set working schedule.
Matt has looked at more than 20 online jobs and discovered that the highest paying one is a computer programmer, providing an average hourly rate of £20.90.
An online tutor is in second place, with the average hourly pay being £20.53. An online tutor helps students with their school curriculum by assisting them with homework and other tasks, all through visual communication, online resources, and various educational materials.
In third place is a holiday planner. For an average hourly rate of £19.96, vacation planners help their clients plan transportation, accommodation, and insurance for their ideal holiday, as well as advising them on anything and everything related to their vacation organisation.
A social media manager is in fourth place providing an average hourly rate of £19.48. The job involves overseeing the client’s interactions with their audience through social media. This includes analysing engagement data, identifying trends in consumer behaviour, as well as planning digital campaigns to build an online community.
