A £1500 reward is being offered to anyone who traces a much-loved family dog that went missing whilst out on a walk in Hamilton.
Bella the ginger cockapoo disappeared near to the golf course at Chatelherault Country Park on Wednesday afternoon leaving her owners Rebecca Hannan and Lloyd Swan frantic with worry.
Dozens of Hamilton residents have since been out in the area helping to search for Bella and a Facebook appeal has garnered hundreds of comments, likes and shares in a bid to return the pooch to her frantic owners.
The search team even asked for anyone with a drone to come forward and help look for Bella from the air, with a kind soul turning out today to help look for the beloved pet.
Anyone who does potentially spot the dog is asked not to shout her name as this may spook her into running off.
Frantic owner Rebecca Hannan posted earlier today that there may have been a sighting of her pet first thing this morning. She said: "There has been a possible sightings of Bella this morning around 6.40am on Carlisle Road sprinting towards Hamilton - please check these areas - do not shout on her."
Another post from Rebecca's friend Laura Peffers said on Thursday: "Bella is still missing and has been missing for several hours now, she went missing roughly at 4.30pm (Wednesday) at the beginning of the golf course coming from the green bridge direction (Chatelherault Country Park area).
"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you are out a walk, run, cycle, anything and you have a sighting then PLEASE get in contact asap with Rebecca Hannan or Lloyd Swan (via Facebook) if you do see her DO NOT shout as this will spook her."
