A 15-year-old has been charged in the shooting near Dunbar High School (Baltimore, Md.) during a football game in September that hospitalized a 12-year-old, according to WBALTV.
The suspect was already being held at the Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center on unrelated gun charges, according to the outlet. With the new charges, he was transferred to Central Booking, where he is held without bail. He will be charged as an adult for attempted first-degree murder, WBALTV reported.
During the football game on Sept. 1, gunshots were heard next to the stadium and people in attendance ducked for cover. WBALTV reported that witnesses stated the shooter fired shots toward a school bus outside the stadium, and one of the bullets hit the 12-year-old in the back.
The injuries are non-life-threatening and the 12-year-old is expected to recover, according to Fox Baltimore.
The football game was cancelled while Loyola-Blakefield led Dunbar 16-12.
