15 weird and comical Edinburgh occurrences that sum up life in Scotland's capital

Edinburgh is known all over the world for being one of this most architecturally beautiful cities there is, as well as having one hell of a nightlife.

The city is an endless array of restaurants, bars, tourist attractions and unrivalled views.

However, life in the city can be rather odd sometimes. Throughout the years, we've witnessed some incredibly weird, yet wonderfully hilarious, scenes within Scotland's capital city.

As well as some of the plushest and up-market neighbourhoods in Edinburgh, there are a few places that appear the complete opposite, leading to some odd occurrences on almost a daily basis.

From street entertainers, to rude graffiti and hipsters as far as the eye can see, you're never short of witnessing something that leaves you bemused whilst on a stroll around the city centre.

After all, Edinburgh is both the home of Miss Jean Brodie and Begbie from Trainspotting (sure, they're fictional, but you get my point). Here 21 of the most ridiculously Edinburgh things that have ever happened.

Bet that cost £15 as well.

That's Edinburgh for you: we'll protest just about anything, in the silliest way possible - possibly while dressed as Chewbacca and drinking a £15 beer.
