Officers have now arrested 11 of the 15 men who were wanted before Christmas in connection with offences including burglary, stalking and assault.
On December 21, Northumbria Police released mugshots of the men who were allegedly evading arrest in the region while extensive searches were carried out across the North East in a bid to locate them.
And after The Chronicle's campaign and the work of the community, 11 of the wanted men have so far been captured. But police are now renewing their appeal and asking anybody who has seen any of the remaining suspects, or know where they may be trying to lay low, to get in touch.

The suspects are:
- Raymond Boyle, 50, of no fixed abode, wanted on prison recall
- Byron Ford, 36, of Ashington, wanted in connection with a stalking offence
- Jack Quinn, 26, of no fixed abode, wanted on prison recall
- Martin Ross, 43, of Newcastle, wanted in connection with a burglary
Superintendent Claire Wheatley, of Northumbria Police, said: “Time and time again, the public really do rise to the challenge and help us when we circulate the faces of wanted suspects.
“That’s been the case again and we’re delighted to have arrested 11 fugitives who were wanted in connection with serious offences. Thanks to your help, the wheels of the criminal justice system continue to turn effectively."
Supt Wheatley urged the public to continue working with the force and asked anyone with information to come forward.
“By working together, we can continue to ensure the North East remains as safe as it possibly can be to live, work and visit," she said.
The suspects, or anyone who has information about their whereabouts, are asked to contact police immediately via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website or by calling 101 quoting NP-20221221-0218 plus the suspect’s name.
