14 pubs for sale around south Wales that could change your life

If you've ever dreamt of owning your own pub , you're in luck because there are number of boozers up for sale - and they don't all cost as much as you might think.

Whether you're thinking of a small village watering hole, or a larger establishment with rooms, there's a whole range on offer.

And some of them make a tidy profit too, so you could end up quids in.

Here are some pubs that up for sale around south Wales.

1. Queen's Hotel, Newport

The Wetherspoon-owned boozer is found in the centre of the city and has been put up for sale along with 15 other 'Spoons pubs across the UK.

It’s going on the market with two companies – Savills and CBRE.

The pub is not yet listed on the Savills website, but they are "inviting offers for the free hold interest".

2. Tyn Y Twr Tavern, Baglan

The cosy tavern overlooks Swansea Bay and is described as an "outstanding profitable pub" (it pulled in £85,000 net profit, according to the agent).

Inside there are two good bar areas or restaurant/function rooms, along with five-bedroom owners accommodation.

The property is set in half an acre and includes gardens and parking.

It's on the market for £525,000 .

3. Cross Inn, Cowbridge

There's a good sized bar and even larger restaurant at the Cross Inn, along with a big area for external seating and a spacious car park too.

On the site you'll also find a one-bed self-contained owners accommodation.

4. The Red Lion,  Pendoylan

The Pendoylan pub has a two-section lounge bar, a restaurant and a second restaurant/function room.

There's also owners accommodation, along with a beer garden and parking. According to the agents the pub had a turn over of £250,000 per annum.

5. Rhoswenallt Inn, Aberdare

This busy village pub and restaurant has been refurbished under the current owners and trades successfully. According to the estate agent, this financial year ending March 2019 the owners were on line to achieve sales of £300,000 exclusive of VAT.

It's on the market for £395,000 .

6. Imperial Hotel, Merthyr Tydfil

Found in a good high street location, this popular boozer has seven en-suite bedrooms for letting, four for private accommodation and function room.

It's had the same owners for the last 20 years and turnover is said to be £125,000 a year net, with £55K net profit.

You can pick this one up for £335,000 .

7. The Butchers Arms, Pontsticill

The Butchers Arms is a two-storey character building, dating back to the 19th Century.

Inside you'll find a bar and restaurant, which was refurbished in 2011 to make a bunkhouse - along with a structural upgrade which included a new roof, central heating and a commercial kitchen.

8. The Lord Nelson, Nelson

10. Hogans, Morriston

It's got a large open-plan trading area, which can hold around 100 people.
