Steve Cooper will be looking to bolster his Nottingham Forest squad this summer ahead of a second season in the Premier League.
The Reds' first piece of business has been striker Chris Wood, who joined permanently from Newcastle United. He spent the second half of last season on loan at the City Ground, making a total of seven outings.
From today, July 1, numerous players have become free agents following the expiration of their contracts. With that in mind, NottinghamshireLive takes a look at a list of players who Forest may be able to sign for free...

David de Gea
The Spaniard's weekly salary of £375k has proven to be a major stumbling block for Manchester United in negotiations for a new deal. His future looked settled when he reportedly agreed a new deal on reduced terms, before United later rescinded the deal in favour of an alternative contract on a lower salary.
It looks like his 12-year stint at Old Trafford has come to an end this summer.
Wilfried Zaha
There have been questions surrounding Zaha's future, and at one point he looked to be heading to Saudi Arabia. Tottenham and Manchester United were also credited with an interest but he has dismissed all the rumours.
Despite becoming a free agent, his salary demands of £200k-a-week may prove too much for some teams.
Jonny Evans
Evans signed for Leicester City for £3.5million in 2018 and played a key role for the Foxes in the Premier League. After more than 150 appearances for City, his future will be away from the King Power Stadium.
Adama Traore
Traore cost Wolves £18m from Middlesbrough in 2018, and he went on to show promise in his five-year stay at Molineux. However, his form later declined.
He made just 34 league appearances, most of which came from the substitutes' bench last season. The winger has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabian side, Al-Ittihad.
Theo Walcott
After three seasons at Southampton, it looks as though his stint at St Mary's has come to an end. The south-coast side have released 12 players following their relegation to the Championship.
Manuel Lanzini
Lanzini has also become a free agent after making just 10 appearances for West Ham last season. It is claimed Aston Villa have joined the race for the midfielder.
Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian's eight-year stint at Anfield came to an end on the final day of last season after it was confirmed he would be leaving the Reds. Jurgen Klopp had expressed his desire to work with the forward beyond this summer but a drop in game time is thought to be the major factor in his decision.
A switch to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli has been heavily reported in recent days.
Matthew Longstaff
The younger brother of team-mate Sean, he has not featured for his boyhood club since the behind-closed-doors 2020/21 season. He spent the last two years on loan at Mansfield Town and Colchester United in League Two.
Lucas Moura
The Brazilian was a bit-part player for the north Londoners last season, but his five-year stay at Spurs has now come to an end. Newcastle are understood to be keeping a close eye on the 30-year-old.
Andros Townsend
The winger missed the entirety of last season with a cruciate ligament injury. Despite becoming a free agent, he may struggle to find a new club due to the severity of his injury.
Phil Jones
After 12 years at Old Trafford, Jones will be moving on. He made just six Premier League appearances in the last four years.
Jones endured a difficult time with several injuries and as a result, was left out of Erik ten Hag's 25-man squad last season. A return to Blackburn Rovers has been touted, while Bordeaux and Preston North End also hold an interest.
Luka Milivojevic
The former Eagles captain made around 200 appearances for the south Londoners in a six-year spell. He scored 28 goals - placing him third in Palace's all time Premier League standing behind Christian Benteke and Zaha.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The midfielder's season was hampered by injuries, which led him to make just nine appearances under Klopp. He is one of four senior players to be departing Anfield.
Talk of a deal with Aston Villa has cooled in recent weeks.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles
The 25-year-old has endured a difficult few years with two Premier League relegations in the midst of winning a Conference League. He spent years at Arsenal but had been loaned out to West Bromwich Albion, AS Roma and Saints in the last couple of years.
