14 Days Of 'Fortnite' Day 4: How To Solve The Challenge And Earn A Free Reward

Here’s how to solve the 14 Days Of Fortnite Day 4 challenge and earn a free reward.

Day for of Epic Games’ “14 Days Of Fortnite” is now live, introducing new LTMs and a brand new challenge and reward.

In something of a twist, the only way to complete today’s challenge is if you’ve already completed yesterday’s Day 3 challenge.

That challenge tasked players with simply playing three matches with friends. When you completed it you received a new Snowball Toy, similar to golf balls, tomatoes and other Toys that have been introduced to the game. It’s pretty neat, actually.

Today the challenge ties directly into that one: Throw snowballs at players in different matches (0/4). This is another easy one, as you’ll be able to throw the snowballs at friends and teammates (or enemies, if you’re reckless like that).

Once you’ve played the required four matches and tossed a snowball at someone each time, you’ll get the Day 4 reward.

This time around it’s a snowman Emoticon:

I’ll be honest, Emoticons are probably my least favorite cosmetic in Fortnite, serving mainly as filler between other, better rewards like dances and skins. But hey, it’s free for everyone and you can throw some holiday cheer into the world with the tap of a button. Everybody wins.

On top of the new challenge and reward, today we get a brand new LTM called Slide. In this new mode everyone has blocks of ice on their feet and unlimited grappler ammo, so it should be a rollicking good time. I wish they’d kept the “Unvaulted” LTM live a bit longer, however. That was really fun.
