A teacher and 14 children have been shot dead at a Texas primary school, the US state's governor has said.
The assailant, an 18-year-old gunman, "shot and killed, horrifically and incomprehensibly, 14 students and killed a teacher," Governor Greg Abbott told a news conference.
He confirmed that the shooter, who was a local teenager, is also dead.

Governor Abbott added: "it is believed that responding officers killed him."
In a Facebook post, Uvalde Memorial Hospital said 13 children had been transferred to the hospital for treatment and confirmed that two were deceased on arrival.
One child and one adult were taken to a second hospital.
