
The Los Angeles Police Department has made significant progress in the investigation of the Pacific Palisades wildfire, with 14 individuals being arrested in connection with the incident. Cmdr. Steve Embrich announced the arrests during a news conference held on Tuesday.
Among the arrests, three individuals were identified as arson suspects who were apprehended outside the fire zone on Sunday and Monday. Embrich highlighted these arrests as particularly noteworthy in the ongoing investigation.
In addition to the arson suspects, the other arrests were made for a variety of offenses. Embrich also addressed the issue of looting, stating that it is not just a crime against property but also a violation that undermines the sense of security for evacuated residents. He made it clear that looting will be met with swift and decisive action by law enforcement.
