An alarming incident took place earlier this month in Seattle, Washington, where a 13-year-old boy was arrested for snatching a woman's purse and assaulting her. The incident, which occurred on April 6 in the 2600 block of Southwest Barton Street, was captured on surveillance camera footage from a local pharmacy.

The video footage shows two teenagers approaching a woman near the pharmacy's entrance, with one of the teens swiftly grabbing the woman's purse from her hands. As the woman pursued the teen outside the store, the contents of her purse spilled onto the sidewalk, with other juveniles seen picking up the scattered items.

During the confrontation, the woman was punched in the face by the young suspect before he and his companions walked away. The Seattle Police Department responded to reports of a strong-arm robbery, with the victim recounting how the incident unfolded, including being thrown to the ground and punched multiple times by the teen.

Following the incident, officers located the 13-year-old suspect and two other teens near 18th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Barton Street. Bodycam footage captured the moment when officers approached the suspect, informing him that he was being detained and subsequently arrested for robbery.

The suspect expressed shock at the accusation of robbery and attempted to flee when officers tried to handcuff him. However, the officers swiftly apprehended the boy and placed him under arrest. The 13-year-old was booked into the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center for investigation of robbery, while the other two teens were identified and released.
