The USFL completed the second day of their two-day, 35-round player draft on Wednesday. The eight-team league hopes to capture the football-hungry audience with its season scheduled from April to July.
It gives players who have not been able to make it in the NFL a chance to play professionally and perhaps show enough to warrant another shot on an NFL roster.
On the first day and first 12 rounds of their draft, eight former Arizona Cardinals players, most of whom spent very little time with the team, were drafted by USFL teams.
Over the two days and 35 rounds, a total of 13 players who spent time with the Cardinals were selected.
