It’s New Year’s Eve and people have been celebrating in Liverpool as 2022 draws to a close.
Liverpool’s bars, clubs and restaurants welcomed people as they prepared to ring in the new year across the city. People braved the weather and the cost of living crisis to visit some of the city centre's hotspots. Areas including Concert Square, Wood Street, Mathew Street and Castle Street were busy with people dressed to enjoy the occasion in style.
Many of Liverpool’s venues put on special ticketed events to see in the New Year. PINS Social Club hosted a New York City style countdown event with confetti ball drop at the stroke of midnight and NYE feast with live DJs on its huge roof terrace.
