Popular children’s writer Dav Pilkey is back with the 12th book in his bestselling 'Dog Man' series. The new book is titled 'Dog Man: The Scarlet Shedder', after Nathaniel Hawthorne's classic 'The Scarlet Letter'.
“Dog Man started out as a character I created when I was in second grade, but the series has evolved into a love letter to my parents. Looking back as a kid growing up with dyslexia and ADHD, my parents, who were my best advocates, let me choose whatever books I wanted to read— with no judgment. Their support and love were life-changing and helped me to become the reader, author, and illustrator that I am today,” Pilkey said in a statement.
Pilkey's graphic novel series has over 60 million copies and it is translated into 45 languages.
Published by Scholastic, the book is expected to be out on March 19, 2024.
Meanwhile, spin offs of the 'Dog Man' like 'Cat Kid Comic Club' and 'Cat Kid Comic Club: Influencers' will be out in November this year.
