Our stunning city welcomed thousands of people from all over the world as it had the honour of hosting Eurovision.
With an electric atmosphere, amazing venues and a good sprinkle of celebrities, we showed the rest of Europe how you put on a week-long party. Starting with a Bule and Yellow Submarine parade through the heart of the city, then to a EuroVillage that saw performances from the likes of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Vengaboys and Lightning Seeds.

We welcomed the 37 entries on the Turquoise Carpet before heading to the National Lottery Welcome Party and then it was on to the semi-finals before the main event. Famous faces and Eurovision royalty were spotted in the city and tourists from every participating country soaked up the incredible energy.
On grand final day the sun shone from the moment the day began helping to amplify the party in the centre of town. Eurovision fans spilled out onto the streets and renditions of Abba's Waterloo could be heard in some of our famous streets.
Loreen of Sweden won, becoming the first woman, and only the second person, to do so twice. The singer, who previously triumphed in 2012, narrowly beat Finland's Kaarija after the public and jury votes were combined.
The city was praised by fans, competitors and celebs, not just for the wonderful show, but also for how the people of Merseyside had embraced the song contest and welcomed all with the warmth we are known for. We were also commended for our promotion of love, tolerance and solidarity with Ukraine.
We have pulled together 125 of the best pictures from Liverpool, although we could have included every single one. This past week Liverpool and the world were truly united by music.
