12 shows to watch in February

It's a good thing most of us will spend this month staying indoors because there's plenty of good viewing in store. Here are 12 of the most notable shows for February:

'RUSSIAN DOLL' (Feb. 1, Netflix) This eight-episode comedy created in part by Amy Poehler is about Nadia (Natasha Lyonne, Nicky of "Orange Is the New Black") who goes to a party held in her honor. The problem for poor Nadia: It never ends, except with her death, and then _ a la "Groundhog Day" _ it restarts with her alive, as if nothing ever happened.

'VICTORIA GOTTI: MY FATHER'S DAUGHTER' (Feb. 9, Lifetime) Old Westbury's Gotti finally breaks into the Lifetime movie business, with this film that she wrote, in part, about her life and family.

'61st GRAMMY AWARDS' (Feb. 10, CBS) Alicia Keys, formerly of Muttontown, hosts this year's festivities from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

'MARGARET: THE REBEL ROYAL' (Feb. 10, PBS) This BBC two-parter is described by the network as an "Intimate series profiling Princess Margaret, whose life and loves reflected the social and sexual revolution that transformed Britain during the mid-20th century.

'MIRACLE WORKERS' (Feb. 12, TBS) Described as a "workplace" comedy, where the workplace is heaven, presided over by an unkempt God (Steve Buscemi) who directs one of his angel minions (Daniel Radcliffe) to handle humanity's prayers. Adapted from a comic novel by Simon Rich ("Man Seeking Woman"), with recurring guest stars Tituss Burgess, Margaret Cho, Tim Meadows, Chris Parnell and Angela Kinsey.

'PROVEN INNOCENT' (Feb. 15, Fox) Legal procedural about firm that represents the wrongfully convicted stars Kelsey Grammer _ also Rachelle Lefevre ("Under the Dome"), Vincent Kartheiser ("Mad Men"), Russell Hornsby ("Grimm"), Nikki M. James ("Brain Dead") and Laurie Holden ("The Walking Dead," "The Americans")

'THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY' (Feb. 15, Netflix) Ten-parter with Ellen Page, Tom Hopper and Mary J. Blige in this adaptation of the graphic novel by Gerard Way, about a dysfunctional family of superheroes, in 1977.

'ELVIS ALL-STAR TRIBUTE' (Feb. 17, NBC) This Blake Shelton-hosted special celebrates Elvis with a look back at the Dec. 3 1968 special on NBC _ his first live TV performance since 1961, and an eye-popping one too (recall the black leather jumpsuit). Lots of guest performances.

'AMERICAN MASTERS: SAMMY DAVIS JR: I'VE GOT TO BE ME' (Feb. 19, PBS) _ The legendary singer, dancer, actor and Rat Packer, gets the "American Masters" treatment.

'91st ACADEMY AWARDS' (Feb. 24, ABC) _ So far the ceremony _ which will originate from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood _ still does not have a host.

'THE ENEMY WITHIN' (Feb. 25, NBC) _ Thriller with Jennifer Carpenter ("Dexter") about a CIA-agent-turned traitor, who gets a get-out-of jail pass by an agent (Morris Chestnut) if she helps him track down a dangerous criminal.

'WHISKEY CAVALIER' (Feb. 27, ABC) _ Dramedy from Bill Lawrence ("Scrubs") and David Hemingson is about a CIA/FBI interagency task force, starring Scott Foley ("Scandal") and Lauren Cohan ("The Walking Dead").
