Manchester United endured a busy summer transfer window as Erik ten Hag attempted to shape the Red Devils’ squad in his own image.
Marquee signings such as Casemiro, Antony and Lisandro Martinez all arrived at Old Trafford, whilst a few faces were allowed to depart the club.
The Red Devils also turned to the loan market throughout the summer in an effort to either get fringe players off the books or to get youngsters some vital first-team football for the coming season.
Mirror Sport takes a look at those Man Utd players who have signed loan deals elsewhere and how they have got on up to the first international break of the season.
Eric Bailly
Signed ahead of Jose Mourinho ’s first season in charge at Old Trafford, the Ivorian was anticipated to be the defensive presence that the Red Devils desperately needed. It hasn’t quite panned out that way with injuries and inconsistent form hugely impacting the ex-Villarreal star’s time with the club.
The 28-year-old joined French giants Marseille on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy slotted into the deal if certain conditions are met. So far, Bailly has made five appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit - two of those coming in the Champions League.
He was unfortunately at fault for a goal during Marseille’s reverse against Frankfurt before being struck down with his familiar injury issues - having been taken off against the German side. He has also ruffled feathers with some controversial comments about the Red Devils.

Alex Telles
Penning a deal with Spanish side Sevilla, Brazilian left-back Telles has made seven appearances for the club so far but hasn’t quite enjoyed the best of fortunes.
Only three of those have been starts, whilst the 29-year-old has so far only won one game during his time in Andalucia and was on the end of a heavy defeat against Manchester City in the Champions League.
He has not started a league game since late August so will be hopeful of earning more minutes after the international break.
Dean Henderson
Whilst Bailly and Telles have so far been in and out of their respective adopted sides, academy graduate Henderson has enjoyed a far more consistent run.
The 25-year-old has instantly been installed as Nottingham Forest's number one stopper but has thus far struggled to keep the ball out of the net. Penalty saves against Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have been soured by 17 goals conceded in the opening seven games of the season.
His solitary win - and thus clean sheet - came against the Hammers way back in mid-August.
Amad Diallo
Following an indifferent loan spell with Scottish giants Rangers last term, young winger Diallo was allowed to leave for more first-team football - this time joining Championship outfit Sunderland.
He has not quite established himself at the Stadium of Light as hoped with just three appearances in the second-tier so far - each of those coming as a substitute.
His latest appearance - a 27-minute outing against Watford - was his longest of the season so far.
Alvaro Fernandez
Handed his first taste of senior football this season with a loan spell to Championship outfit Preston North End, Spanish defender Fernandez has been handed a clutch of opportunities so far this season.
He has made seven appearances for the club so far - just two of those being starts. A huge reason behind that is due to an ankle issue that kept him restricted to the sidelines for a few weeks.
Fernandez sparkled in the Carabao Cup as he accumulated two assists in a 4-1 thumping of Huddersfield Town.
Hannibal Mejbri
Another to have made the switch to the second tier of English football, 19-year-old midfielder Mejbri signed a season-long loan deal with Midlands outfit Birmingham City.
The youngster has yet to make a real mark though having been restricted to just 71 minutes of action over his four appearances for the Blues thus far.
Ethan Laird
Whilst the majority of his Red Devils’ colleagues have been slowly but surely introduced into their new sides, 21-year-old right-back Laird has instantly become a favourite during his short spell at Queens Park Rangers.
Since arriving at Loftus Road, he has played every single minute for which he has been available for and his performances have been a huge reason behind QPR sitting sixth in the table.
Laird scored his first senior goal last month as he polished off an excellent team move against Hull City.
Ethan Galbraith
One of a long line of players to have been the beneficiary of Man Utd’s close relationship with Salford City, the 21-year-old midfielder joined the League Two side until the end of the campaign.
So far, he has made three appearances - two of those being starts but has yet to contribute to a goal.
Will Fish
Having been sent off in pre-season, young defender Will Fish was given the chance to accumulate more first-team experience with Scottish side Hibernian.
However, he is yet to play a single minute this season having been named as an unused substitute against Kilmarnock and Aberdeen.
Matej Kovar
An under-21 Czech international, 22-year-old goalkeeper Kovar was given the chance to return to his homeland with a loan switch to Sparta Prague.
He has been introduced straight into the side having been selected for recent games against Teplice and Banik Ostrava. Kovar could not help the side to victory though - both matches ending in draws.
Dermot Mee
Another goalkeeper, it’s been a tricky introduction to life for Mee into the senior game. He penned a loan deal with non-league outfit Altrincham until December and has conceded 11 goals in just four league games.
As a result, he has dropped out of the side and was left out completely at the weekend as Altrincham found themselves on the end of a 4-1 reverse at the hands of Dagenham and Redbridge.
Charlie Wellens
Also making the move to non-league, young defender Wellens has joined Oldham Athletic until early January and he appears to be enjoying his time with the Latics.
He has started each of the last three games and despite having lost his opening two matches, scored an 89th-minute winner at the weekend against Eastleigh.
