12 flood alerts across Nottinghamshire as rainfall continues

Environmental officials have issued flood alerts following heavy rain in Nottinghamshire. It comes after heavy downpours across the city and county on Monday, November 21.

The Met Office predicts more rain across Nottinghamshire throughout the night until 6am Tuesday, November 22. Officials have put out 12 flood alerts across the county as rain continues to pour.

The government flood alert system keeps residents up to date on any warnings issued for the area. Officials have issued 12 flood alerts and warnings in and around Nottinghamshire.

Flood alerts have been issued for the following 12 areas, which means that there is possible flooding:

  • Loughborough urban watercourses and local tributaries to the River Soar
  • Lower Derwent in Derbyshire
  • Lower River Soar in Leicestershire
  • River Erewash in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire
  • River Erewash Tributaries in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire
  • River Leen, Day Brook and Tottle Brook in Nottinghamshire
  • River Maun in Nottinghamshire
  • River Trent in Derbyshire
  • River Trent Tributaries in Nottinghamshire
  • River Wreake in Leicestershire
  • Tributaries in South Derbyshire
  • Witham in South Kesteven
