Since I was a little girl, my mum always made a big deal over our Christmas Day outfits. And TBH, there was something so fun about wearing your Christmas pyjamas to bed on Christmas Eve, waking up, doing presents and unwrapping your new Christmas Day dress.
As we got older, we obviously had more say in our Christmas Day outfits, but the tradition remains the same. My siblings and I send our mother links of whatever outfit tickles our fancy that year, and without skipping a beat, the angel of a woman buys, washes and wraps them, ready to go for the big day.
Mum, if you’re reading this, I love and appreciate that you’ve upheld this tradition into adulthood.
