11-year-old differently abled boy mauled to death by stray dogs in Kannur

An 11-year-old boy was mauled to death by street dogs near the Muzhapilangad Kitinakam mosque in Kannur on June 11. The victim, Nihal Naushad, was a differently abled child and could not speak, the police said.

The child had gone missing from his home around 5 p.m. on Sunday. He was later found profusely bleeding in an vacant plot half a kilometre from the house. The child was found motionless and bleeding around waist during an search conducted by the police and the local people.

Even though the police rushed the child to the Thalassery Government hospital, the doctors declared the child brought dead.
