A southern California community is rallying behind a young entrepreneur whose lemonade stand was pilfered by thieves.

Liam, 11, started his Ramona lemonade stand so he could buy a dirt bike, , according to KFMB. Liam's tables and chairs stolen in the middle of the day.

Surveillance video obtained by the news outlet shows Liam walking away from his lemonade stand to get more supplies, when a man pulls up in a truck throwing the table and chairs in his truck bed, and then drives away.

A short time later, Liam is seen coming back only to realize that his lemonade stand is gone. "How can people be so cruel?" Liam told KFMB.

Liam's mother says this was a lesson that he had to learn the hard way.

"This looks a little bit more intentional, and that's unfortunate. You know, I think Liam definitely learned a hard lesson that day as far as leaving his stuff unattended," Rader said to KFMB.

When community members heard about what happened to Liam, they rallied to support him. They offered to replace his table and chairs, contributed more to his fundraiser, and even surprised him with a dirt bike.

With his new bike, Liam plans to keep running his lemonade stand, but now he'll donate the proceeds to an animal sanctuary.

There is still no update on whether a suspect has been identified or caught in connection with the theft of Liam's lemonade stand.
