11 Rangers absentees vs Dundee United revealed as injury crisis laid bare

Rangers have 11 absentees for their game against Dundee United this afternoon.

The Ibrox club travel to Tannadice aiming to bounce back from Thursday evening's late loss to Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League.

Manager Philippe Clement made four changes from midweek to his team today, with Clinton Nsiala, Mohamed Diomande, Ianis Hagi, and Cyriel Dessers all coming in at the expense of Leon Balogun, Connor Barron, Ridvan Yilmaz, and Vaclav Cerny.

What is most notable about today's Rangers team is that 11 senior players are absent, which shows the extent of the club's injury crisis.

Indeed, Dujon Sterling, Neraysho Kasanwirjo, John Souttar, Leon Balogun, Yilmaz, Kieran Dowell, Barron, Cerny, Rabbi Matondo, Oscar Cortes, and Danilo are all either unavailable or unfit to play in today's game.

Regardless, Clement and Co. will push on and look to close the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership to 10 points.

Tom Lawrence last scored the winner for Rangers at Tannadice in a 1-0 win earlier this season.
