But it turns out the bargain store has more on offer than you might think.

So we took a trip to the Poundland store in The Galleries in Bristol to see what surprising products are on offer.
Glasses
Although Poundland may not be your first port of call when it comes to glasses, it is surprisingly fully stocked with reading glasses of a range of strengths and styles.
If you know the prescription you need, it could be perfect for your basic reading needs.
Kitchenware
Plates, bowls, cups and cutlery, Poundland has everything you need for equipping your kitchen.
It even offers a range of storage pots and drinking glasses.
Electrical products
Poundland stocks a wide range of phone chargers for when yours next becomes a bit worse for wear.
The store offers different designs and chargers suited for various mobile device.
Wool
An unlikely product for Poundland stores, but nevertheless it is there. With a range of colours, Poundland is there for anyone with a need to knit.
CDs, books and DVDs
The Bristol store has a wide range of CDs, books and DVDs up for grabs, perfect for presents and general entertainment.
Among the stock are big names such as James Blunt and Michael Morpurgo.
Fresh Food
Despite a limited selection, Poundland’s does stock meats, dairy and fresh fruit if you’re ever in need for a snack.
Clothing
Situated in Poundland stores is now the clothing range ‘Pep&Co’ which stocks a range of clothing including socks, tops and trousers. Seasonal themed clothing is also available ready for fancy dress.
Footwear is amongst those clothing products with shoes fit for various purposes, including school!
Makeup
Poundland stocks a range of its own-brand makeup products including eyeshadow, lipstick and nail polish.
Makeup appliances such as brushes and sponges are also available.
Perfume
Surprisingly, Poundland is also stocked with a small selection of perfumes to keep you smelling sweet.
In this Bristol Store, the perfumes on offer include Sparkling Sky and 9th element.
DIY Tools
Poundland may not be be first on the list when looking for the basic DIY essentials, but surprisingly it stocks a range of products to help you complete your decorating duties.
Paint brushes, plyers and even a miniature hacksaw are on offer.
Medication
If you are ever feeling under the weather, then Poundland is the place to head. It surprisingly stocks a wide range of medication for health and wellbeing needs.
Although it sells mostly own brand products, well-known brands such as Bassetts can be seen on the shelves.
