John peacefully passed away at home on July 29th 2022 after a courageous and dignified battle with Motor Neurone Disease. John was a devoted and treasured Husband to Maureen (Mo) and an adored Father to Dan. Beloved brother to Aidan and cherished Uncle, Brother-in-law, and Friend. John was a dedicated and highly respected History Teacher. He began his career at The Bluecoat School Liverpool, followed by St Edwards College and Runshaw College Leyland. John's passion for his subject inspired all his students and he was well known for his dry wit and sartorial elegance.
John was a keen amateur footballer and later went into management for Formby Junior Sports Club. John was a lifelong Evertonian and as a season ticket holder attended all home games with Dan.
