1000lb Sisters' Tammy saw husband Caleb's death coming because of his 'unhealthy habits'

1000lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton says she knew her husband's unhealthy habits would lead to an early death.

The 36-year-old believed that her husband of five months "didn't care about getting better" despite her efforts to turn him around.

Tammy had initially filed for a divorce due to Caleb's declining health and his reluctance to do anything about it. But she put the split on hold as she was "still in love with him".

But the newlywed was still "scared" for his life and struggled watching her love's health decline.

"Tammy was trying so hard to get him to turn around because she's like, 'Look, I did it,' and he didn't have the motivation or the willpower," a source said.

"She talked about getting a divorce, but he started declining medically, so she got scared and didn't do anything. She still loved him, but it was hard for her to not see him try to get better," an insider shared with The Sun.

Tammy broke her silence on her ex-husband's sad passing, with the reality star emotionally recalling how he showed her "real love".

"Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness," Tammy penned in her emotional message today on her Instagram page.

Sharing some sweet photos of the couple together around Christmas time, Tammy shared the post to her profile around 13 hours after the sad news of Caleb's death was announced on Facebook.

Caleb's younger brother took to the social media app on Saturday to announce the sad news, with him writing an emotional message to notify friends, family and fans.

"I can't believe I'm even making this post, but today GOD called my big brother home," he penned.

"You will be forever loved and missed. Until we meet again," he concluded.
