1000-lb Sisters' Tammy Slaton still struggling to breathe unaided after weight loss op

1000-lb Sisters ' Tammy Slaton has issued a health update to her loyal legion of fans, with the TLC star admitting that she still needs to be aided by oxygen to breathe.

The reality TV star, 36, rose to fame alongside her sister Amy Slaton, 35, on the hit show 1000lb Sisters, a programme that has documented the pair's attempts to lose weight.

Tammy struggled to lose weight but recently shed a whopping 300lbs following a scary weight loss surgery and a medical incident, that led to her being placed on life support.

Taking to TikTok on Wednesday (May 10), Tammy - who was still hooked up to an oxygen tank - explained how she would be doing something fun.

With a box in front of her, she explained how she would be doing a candle unboxing review for her 730,000 followers on the video-sharing platform.

Sitting on a chair with her hair tied back off of her face, Tammy looked upbeat as she began the video, but soon addressed her health - which left her sounding a little down.

"I'm still on oxygen because my lungs aren't completely healed from being on life support," she then trailed off and spoke about how she needed to get her nails done, before getting back onto the topic of her health.

Pointing at her lungs, Tammy explained how they're "still not completely healed", with her adding: "They are really getting so much better."

"I'm not completely dependant on oxygen anymore," she announced, which will likely come as welcome news to her fans who are always pressing the star about her oxygen tank.

Tammy then added that she can now go "at least five hours" without her oxygen.

The TV star then got back to her candle review, with her talking viewers through what was inside the brown box.

This comes days after the US Sun reported that Tammy has started to live dangerously again, with her said to be going on fast-food runs, smoking and ignoring her diet.

A source told the publication that the TV star is "back to her old ways" with them explaining how she "isn't paying attention to her diet, she is vaping, eating McDonald's regularly, and generally is not taking care of herself."
