1000-lb Sisters fans concerned for Tammy Slaton as she goes back to using her wheelchair

Tammy Slaton has worried fans that she has "set herself back" as she was seen using her wheelchair once again.

The 1000-lb Sisters star has lost a whopping 300lbs (21.4 stone) over the years, but things haven't been easy for her.

Tammy was placed in a medically-induced coma amid her weight loss journey after suffering a terrifying medical emergency.

She then had to use an oxygen machine and wheelchair as she worked on getting better.

The 36-year-old was recently seen standing and walking unassisted, but she's now taken to Instagram to share a series of snaps sat in her wheelchair.

In the pictures, Tammy looked beautiful as she wore a frilly red dress while watching the sunset.

She styled her bright red hair in a half-up half-down do and wore a silver butterfly clip to keep it in place.

While many fans complimented Tammy for the stunning snaps, others expressed their concern for the star.

"Hi Tammy I hope this question isn't offensive... I thought you lost enough weight that you would not need the wheelchair anymore?" one person asked.

Another said: "Why r u in a wheelchair? Thought you were Doing good????" while a third commented: "Why is she still in her wheelchair shes set herself back again."

Fans rushed to defend the reality star (queentammy86/Instagram)

However, Tammy's fans banded together to shut down the critics, with one of her followers writing: "Honey you are having the ultimate glow up."

Another urged: "Stop being ableist everyone. She could only use the wheelchair sometimes but she has a right to if she needs it."

"Yes Tammy!!! I’m so proud of you. So far you’ve come enjoy!!!" a third person added.

One fan encouraged: "I'm happy for you tammy!! walk when you are ready. don’t over push yourself but know you have supporters wishing you the best!!"

The snaps come after Tammy revealed she was "thankful to be alive" after her weight loss.

After being placed in a coma, she was able to recover at a food rehabilitation centre where she had accesses to therapists and exercise machines.

Now she admits: "I'm feeling great! I'm thankful to be alive. And it's fun to be progressing as much as I am," Tammy told People.
