1000-lb Sisters' Amy Slaton 'so proud' as she shares family update amid divorce

1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton put her divorce drama aside as she gushed about a milestone moment in her family.

In March, court documents revealed that Amy's husband, Michael Halterman, filed for divorce from the reality television star.

And with the divorce proceedings still in full swing, Amy distracted herself with some fantastic family news as she took to her TikTok account.

Sharing a filtered selfie of herself sporting bright purple hair, she added the caption: "Good morning, today I'm one proud aunt as my baby nephew graduates today!! I love you Dylan Halterman."

A few weeks earlier, she delighted her fans by showing off a massive milestone for her baby son Glenn with her 144.4k TikTok followers.

The sweet slip saw the youngster managing to stand up without the help of an adult. He used a suitcase in the corner of the room to prop himself, but, nonetheless, Amy was proud of the milestone being reached.

She added the simple caption: "Glenn stood up."

Amy's family update comes after her separation from her former husband Michael Halterman, less than a year after their son Glenn's birth. Us Weekly obtained court documents that revealed Michael had filed for divorce in March.

It was also said that Amy had moved out of the marital home in Kentucky and taken two-year-old Gage and eight-month-old Glenn with her.

An insider told The Sun that Amy had complained about Michael's laziness and claimed he had been "jealous" of her attention towards their two children.

"Amy says Michael is lazy and has been jealous of her attention toward the kids," the source revealed in February this year. "They've been having trouble since last year."

The pair got married in March 2019, enjoying four years together after formerly eloping in June 2017. They had known each other since childhood, according to an interview Amy did for The Sun in 2022.

"We actually met when I was eight, so we were dating then, but then when he turned 18, we stopped dating until recently," she said.

"He loves me and supports me, he don't care how much I weigh, how much I lose. He don't care, he just wants me and the babies to be healthy. He's excited about being a dad again, [but] secretly he wanted a girl."

Amy and sister Tammy soared to fame by documenting their impressive weight loss on the TLC show. The duo have been called a "breath of fresh air" by fans for "being real" and opening up about their struggles.
