A 10-year-old boy was crushed to death by a tipper truck at Hirapur locality on the outskirts of Kalaburagi on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Manish Mallikarjun, died on the spot when he was hit by the tipper truck while crossing the road along with his parents.
Meanwhile, an angry mob that gathered there damaged the tipper truck and set it on fire after the driver of the vehicle escaped.
Senior police officials rushed to the place of accident and pacified the mob.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire that had engulfed the tipper truck.
A case has been registered at the Traffic Police Station.
