Staff at a five-star Leeds hair salon are "chuffed beyond measure" after it was named Business Salon of the Year.
The award came as a surprise to the owner of Architect Hair, based in Otley Road, Headingley, who said staff and the salon have been through "tough times". Louise Howard, shared how the salon "struggled" throughout lockdown but "through teamwork", the business was able to make a comeback.
Architect Hair, which has been described as a "beautiful salon", has been open for over a decade and specialises in hair colouring by a "highly skilled and educated team". The business has won Best Colour Salon 2022, Best Colour Salon 2021, and Apprentice of the Year 2021. Now it has a fourth award to add to the showcase.

Speaking about what winning Business Salon of the Year means, Louise said: "It was a real honour. We went to the awards in London and it was a glam night.
"I knew we had quite a good case but it was really nice to win an award this time as the last time we won an award in lockdown. In lockdown it was tough, but we worked hard to keep the team together."
Louise said: "A lot of our team have been with the salon for a long long time, and are very talented. They could go to any salon but here we have the foundation for the business. I am massively proud to win this for the team.
"Business often suggests being tough or hard hearted, but at Architect the people always come first and this award is a vindication of that."
Architect hair is open on Monday and Tuesday from 9am until 5.30pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am until 8pm, Friday from 9am until 7pm, and Saturday from 9am until 5pm. The salon is closed on Sundays.
