Linn Grant Facts: 20 Things To Know About Swedish LPGA Tour Star

Linn Grant is one of Sweden's many impressive pro golfers, with the former ASU player making waves in the professional ranks as a serial winner.

Grant is the first female winner on the DP World Tour (she's done it twice) and looks set to be a feature of many Solheim Cup teams to come.

Get to know her life and career better with these facts...

Linn Grant facts:

1. Grant comes from a long line of golfers. This includes her grandfather James, and her father John who won seven times on the Swedish Senior Tour.

2. Grant was born on June 20, 1999, in Helsingborg, Sweden.

3. Grant played collegiate golf at Arizona State University where she notched four wins, three of which came in a row during the 2021 season. She was also a two-time All-American.

4. She won by three shots at the Ladies British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship in 2017. This came 49 years after her grandfather captured the Scottish Boys Championship on the same course, North Berwick.

5. She was part of Sweden's record breaking European Ladies' Team Championship sides that won the event in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

6. Grant played in the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur in 2019 but she failed to make the cut.

7. She won the 2018 US Women's Open qualifier in England where she was seven strokes clear of Catriona Matthew after 36-holes. She made the cut in what was her first ever Major appearance.

8. She also won Final Qualifying for the 2018 Women's British Open.

9. Grant won twice on the Nordic Golf Tour in 2020 while still an amateur and went on to win the Order of Merit - although she wasn't able to pick up any prize money.

10. She turned professional in August 2021.

11. Her maiden pro win came at the Terre Blanche Ladies Open on the LET Access Series.

12. She won the 2022 Sunshine Ladies Tour Order of Merit after three wins, including the Joburg Ladies Open, which was co-sanctioned with the LET.

13. In March 2022, Grant signed a multi-year contract with Adidas Golf.

14. In June 2022, Grant became the first woman to win on the DP World Tour, formerly called the European Tour, by winning the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed in Sweden. The tournament consisted of 78 men and 78 women and she won by a colossal nine strokes.

15. Grant won the Ladies European Tour Rookie of the Year, Order of Merit and Player of the Year titles in 2022 after winning four tournaments.

16. Grant missed the 2023 Chevron Championship because she had not received a Covid-19 vaccine.

17. She won her maiden LPGA Tour title at the 2023 Dana Open in Ohio, triumphing by three strokes from Allisen Corpuz.

18. She made her Solheim Cup debut in 2023 at Finca Cortesin in Spain, where she won three out of her five matches.

19. She won the Scandinavian Mixed for the second time in 2024, this time in her hometown of Helsingborg. She began the day 11 strokes back of fellow Swede Sebastian Soderberg.

20. Grant made her Olympics debut at Paris 2024.
