Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 by the Mumbai crime branch in a case involving the production and distribution of pornographic content through mobile-based apps. He was remanded to police custody by the court till July 23. Although there were several speculations regarding Shilpa’s involvement in the case, a source close to Mumbai police has revealed to ETimes that Shilpa will not be served a summon in the Raj Kundra.
Speaking to ETimes on condition of anonymity the source revealed, "Shilpa Shetty is one of the directors of Viaan Industries while the police investigation is probing into Kenrin only." Kenrin is a UK-based company and owner of the HotShots app, where the alleged porn content was distributed.
On the work front, Shilpa is awaiting the release of her comeback movie, ‘Hungama 2’. The movie also stars Meezaan and Paresh Rawal in lead roles.
The actress also has Sabbir Khan’s ‘Nikamma’ in her kitty where she will be seen sharing the screen space with Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia.
