Down the dimly lit alleyways, remote misty roads and spooky snickets lie treasure troves of terror - and it can be a unique way to do a bit of exploring too.

Every city has its spooky secrets, whether it's terrifying ghouls in haunted squares or gruesome history sure to fascinate fans of the macabre.
