£10,000 reward offered in hunt for missing baby donkey

A £10,000 reward has been offered today (Thursday) in the ongoing hunt for a baby donkey who has gone missing. Police are investigating after the little one, Moon, was taken from Miller's Ark farm in Hook, Hampshire on Monday (May 15).

Now, Hampshire and IOW news has said it is pledging the reward, along with another party. In a post on Facebook, it said it was posting a "guaranteed cash reward for information and leading to the safe return" of Moon.

The post explained: "In conjunction with another private donor, we are able to exclusively offer a £10,000 cash reward due to the information available and serious concern for the Donkeys immediate welfare. The monetary value of a Donkey has no bearing on the value of its life in return.

"A rescue team are on standby and available if the location is disclosed to us 24/7 and we will ensure your personal details remain totally anonymous. This reward is not through the Police or any other Organisations so information would need to be passed directly to us on our message section for a reward to be paid once verified."

The theft happened at some time before 5pm on Monday. The farm said on Facebook yesterday it was "still hoping for a positive outcome".

On Monday, the farm said on social media: "Sadly this afternoon at Miller’s Ark little Moon has been stolen from the field. We are completely devastated and incredibly concerned, she was only born at the beginning of March and needs to be with her Mum.

"This little donkey will be braying loudly tonight because she will be missing her mum badly. This is our chance to find her.

"If you or anyone you know took her, please return her to the farm tonight, so she can go back with her mother who is very distressed."

Unfortunately, Moon is yet to be reunited with her mother, named Astra. Hampshire Constabulary is appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch by calling 101 quoting 44230191581.
