A man is dead and another wounded following a Friday morning shooting in Humboldt Park on the West Side.
They were standing on a sidewalk about 10:55 a.m. when someone ran up and shot them in the 4000 block of West Potomac Avenue, according to Chicago police.
A man between 20 and 30 years old was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he died about a half hour later, police said. He was shot four times in his face, chest and torso.
His name has not been released by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
A second man, 30, was taken to Stroger Hospital with gunshot wound to his hip, police said. He was in good condition.
No arrest has been made.
