There were 26 more Covid-19 fatalities and 1,488 new patients admitted to hospitals on Monday, the Ministry of Public Health reported on Tuesday.
This compared with 28 coronavirus-related fatalities and 1,531 patients on Sunday, as reported on Monday.
As of midnight Monday, a total of 17,897 people were receiving Covid-19 treatment (down from 18,829 the previous day), including 9,766 in hospitals (down from 9,878). Of the remainder, 247 were in field hospitals/hospitel facilities (down from 249) and 7,813 in home/community isolation (down from 8,620).
Of those in hospitals, 839 were seriously ill with lung inflammation (down from 883) and 427 dependent on ventilators (down from 444).
The 24-hour period also saw 2,394 patients discharged from hospitals after recovering.
The 1,488 new patients were all local cases.
The 26 people who died were aged from 43 to 89 years.
Bangkok logged one more death and there were six in the adjacent provinces of Samut Sakhon (2), Samut Prakan (2), Nonthaburi (1) and Pathum Thani (1).
Other central plains provinces further from the capital reported nine deaths - three in Chon Buri and one each in Rayong, Prachin Buri, Nakhon Sawan, Chai Nat, Lop Buri and Ayutthaya.
The North reported one more coronavirus-related death, in Phitsanulok.
The Northeast had five - two in Nakhon Phanom and one each in Yasothon, Khon Kaen and Surin.
The South had four more deaths - in Yala (2), Phatthalung (1) and Phuket (1).
Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 4,637,119 Covid-19 cases, including 2,413,764 this year, with 4,584,827 complete recoveries to date.
The accumulated death toll stood at 32,081 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 10,383 so far this year.
Global Covid-19 cases rose by 473,239 in 24 hours to 601.56 million. The worldwide death toll went up by 1,244 to 6.47 million.
The United States had the most cases at 95.45 million, up 35,173, and the most deaths at 1.07 million, up 112.
