There were 22 more Covid-19 fatalities and 1,062 new patients admitted to hospitals on Monday, the Ministry of Public Health reported on Tuesday.
This compared with 22 coronavirus-related fatalities and 1,360 patients on Sunday, as reported on Monday.
As of midnight Monday, a total of 14,495 people were receiving Covid-19 treatment (down from 15,418 the previous day), including 8,085 in hospitals (down from 8,333). Of the remainder, 148 were in field hospitals/hospitel facilities (up from 147) and 6,247 in home/community isolation (down from 6,923).
Of those in hospitals, 694 were seriously ill with lung inflammation (down from 731) and 350 dependent on ventilators (down from 366).
As of Tuesday the daily averages over a 14-day period were - 1,698 new patients, down from 1,966 as of Aug 24 figures; 694 seriously ill patients, down from 785; 350 dependent on ventilators, down from 386; and 26 coronavirus-related deaths, down from 30.
The 24-hour period also saw 1,963 patients discharged from hospitals after recovering.
The 1,062 new patients were all local cases.
The 22 people who died were aged from 32 to 95 years.
Bangkok logged three more deaths and there were five in the adjacent provinces of Samut Prakan (4) and Pathum Thani (1).
Other central plains provinces further from the capital reported five deaths - two each in Samut Songkhram and Rayong and one in Chachoengsao.
The North reported two more coronavirus-related deaths, in Phrae and Tak.
The Northeast had six - two in Nakhon Phanom and one each in Mukdahan, Khon Kaen, Buri Ram and Ubon Ratchathani.
The South had one more death, in Pattani.
From Aug 28 to Sept 3, antigen tests showed that 18,734 people tested positive for Covid-19 daily on average.
Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 4,660,964 Covid-19 cases, including 2,437,529 this year, with 4,614,025 complete recoveries to date.
The accumulated death toll stood at 32,444 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 10,746 so far this year.
Global Covid-19 cases rose by 349,219 in 24 hours to 610.72 million. The worldwide death toll went up by 989 to 6.50 million.
The United States had the most cases at 96.64 million, up 9,480, and the most deaths at 1.07 million, up 13.
