Law enforcement agencies in New York City have announced a total reward of $60,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect involved in the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The New York City Police Department initially offered $10,000 for information that could help in apprehending the suspect.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has also joined the investigation and is now offering up to $50,000 for any details that lead to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator. The shooting took place outside a hotel in Manhattan on Wednesday morning, resulting in the tragic death of the 50-year-old victim.

The FBI has released a wanted poster seeking the public's assistance in identifying the unknown suspect responsible for the homicide. The incident occurred at 1335 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan.

Authorities have described the shooting as a premeditated and targeted attack. Brian Thompson was attending UnitedHealth's annual investors conference at the Hilton in New York City when the incident took place. Police believe that the suspect may have fled to Atlanta, Georgia, as they continue their search for evidence.

Investigators have uncovered bullet casings at the crime scene with the words 'deny,' 'depose,' and 'defend' inscribed on them. This discovery has led to speculation that the motive behind the shooting could be related to a denied insurance claim, possibly linked to the book 'Delay, Deny, Defend: Why Insurance Companies Don't Pay Claims and What You Can Do About It.'

Surveillance footage from various locations between Midtown and the Upper West Side is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. The suspect is believed to have traveled from Atlanta to New York before carrying out the attack.
