Tory candidate's office spray-painted with 'child killer' graffiti

The words “Zionist child killer” have been spray-painted over a Conservative candidate’s campaign office.

Robert Largan, who is seeking re-election in High Peak in Derbyshire, posted a picture on X of the message written across the windows of his office in red paint.

Mr Largan posted a picture of the vandalism on Monday alongside the words “Good Morning from Whaley Bridge” before thanking two nearby residents for helping to clear up the damage, whih is assumed to relate Israel's ongoing war in Gaza.A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police told the Buxton Advertiser: “We have received reports of criminal damage at the office of Robert Largan in Market Street, Whaley Bridge.

“The incident was reported to us at 9.13am on Monday 1 July and investigations are ongoing.

“We will be reviewing CCTV as a matter of priority and officers will be speaking to Mr Largan about security.”

The Conservative candidate also recently shared a photo of a vandalised campaign poster.

An image of the Tory was edited to include face paint alongside the words “High Peak’s clown with no hope”.

The vandalism comes after Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy’s office was damaged last month, with the Metropolitan Police launching an “urgent investigation” into the incident.

The long-serving parliamentarian, who has represented the north-east London seat since 2010 and is seeking reelection, took to social media to share shocking images of smashed windows at her campaign headquarters.

The Metropolitan Police said the office on Orford Road was targeted between 3.10am and 3.30am on Sunday, June 23.

Ms Creasy tweeted: “Message to whoever attacked my office last night: You don’t intimidate me and you don’t belong in the political process.

“Same as those circulating malicious and false leaflets. Police already on this to find you – will press for the strongest penalties for such an anti-democratic attack and I know Walthamstow won’t be cowed or influenced by your violence either.”
