Cards Against Humanity Sues Elon Musk’s SpaceX For Trespassing Land: ‘Go F*ck Yourself’

Cards Against Humanity (CAH), the beloved party game known to make parties either super awkward or the the best night of your life, has decided to take Elon Musk’s SpaceX to court. Yep, you read that right.

The card game is hitting SpaceX with a $15 million lawsuit for allegedly treating their Texas property like a cosmic dumping ground.

What does Card Against Humanity have to do with SpaceX?

Let’s rewind, remember back in 2017 when Donald Trump was all about that border wall life?

Well in the same year CAH launched a crowdfunding campaign that rallied over 150,000 supporters to donate $15 each. The goal? To buy land along the US-Mexico border and make Trump’s border wall plans “as time-consuming and expensive as possible.” They quite literally played the long game!

You can check out the campaign here:

Fast forward to now, and it seems SpaceX has been using that land without permission, turning it into what CAH describes as a construction site filled with gravel, tractors, and — wait for it — “space garbage.”

In an Instagram post that captures their frustration, CAH stated that Musk, AKA “an even richer (than Trump), more racist billionaire, snuck up on us from behind and completely fucked that land”.

Here’s the entire *chef’s kiss* statement. (Image: Cards Against Humanity/Instagram)

It’s a bold claim, but they’re not stopping there. The lawsuit alleges that “SpaceX has treated the property as its own for at least six months without regard for CAH’s property rights nor the safety of anyone entering what has become a worksite that is presumably governed by OSHA safety requirements.”

According to CAH, when they caught wind of what was going on, SpaceX gave them “a 12-hour ultimatum to accept a lowball offer for less than half our land’s value.”

CAH responded by saying, “Go fuck yourself, Elon Musk. We’ll see you in court.”

What does Cards Against Humanity want to do if they win?

CAH is promising to split any winnings with the original 150,000 donors if they come out on top. They’ve even set up a website called ElonOwesYou100Dollars.com, because why not add a dash of internet trolling to your legal strategy?

CAH explains the reason they’re suing SpaceX stating, “Even if Musk un-fucks our land, that doesn’t un-fuck the damage he’s done to our reputation. 150,000 people gave us their hard-earned money, and in exchange we vowed to protect this land from racist billionaires and their dumb vanity projects.”

Who knew a card game would do all this? (Image: Cards Against Humanity/Instagram)

In true CAH style, they’re not pulling any punches. They quipped, “While this isn’t enough to compensate our subscribers for the anguish they’ve suffered witnessing Elon Musk defile their once-verdant land − where wild horses galloped freely in the Texas moonlight − we think it’s a pretty good start.” CAH would have loved The Saddle Club.

In July, Elon Musk announced that he would be moving the headquarters of X and SpaceX to Austin, Texas. (Image: Getty Images)

Whether this bold card game can successfully challenge one of the most powerful figures in tech remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure — I will be that annoying person bringing up this iconic lawsuit at every party I play Cards Against Humanity at.
