Niall Horan finally responds to fans saying he was 'crying' when mic 'turned off' by One Direction bosses

Niall Horan has responded to fans who believed he was "crying" in his One Direction days because his mic was "turned off".

Numerous Youtube and Tiktok videos that are being shared around insinuate that the Mullingar man was left in tears when One Direction bosses turned off his mic for solos during their touring days.

One video on Youtube of the young man labelled "Niall Horan crying" has as many as one million views.

The clips had fans feeling for the Irish man who has now insisted no such thing happened and laughed off suggestions he was left in tears.

Instead Niall said there were simply "technical issues" on stage and he was sweating.

Replying to a fan on Twitter the hitmaker said: "I’m not even crying hhhahahahahahaha."

He added: "turning off mics ? Ya joking ? Hahaha. The stuff I read on here hahaha.

"Ever heard of a technical issue?"

And after a fan said the enjoyed him "roasting" people online he defended himself against internet trolls.

Niall said it was a "difficult decision" based on the safety of his fans and team (Dave Benett/Getty Images for Paul Smith)

He added: "I just don’t understand how people can say what they want about me online ( a person they don’t know ) and then when I come back at it I’m the prick . I’m not roasting anyone."

Earlier this week Horan was unable to perform on the Graham Norton Show due to an illness but is now fully recovered.

He tweeted: "Sorry I couldn’t make an appearance on @grahnort guys.

"The show is shot during the week and I was too ill to get involved. If Graham will have me back, i’ll get on again soon. "

He since told a fan he's "fully back" and has shared snaps sunbathing and videos singing at his home in London.
