Full list of people who will get DWP Christmas bonus payment

Many Brits who receive benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will receive a Christmas bonus this year.

Those eligible for the payment will receive and extra £10 in their bank account from the beginning of December. According to the DWP, there is no need to claim for the money as it will be paid automatically.

In order to be considered for the payment, recipients must have been paid specific benefits in the "qualifying week", typically the first full week of December. They must also be "ordinarily resident" in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, or Gibraltar during the same qualifying week in order to get the extra tenner, the Mirror reports.

However, if it gets past December and you have not received the extra money despite believeing that you're eligible, then you should either contact Jobcentre Plus or the Pension Service if you claim a State Pension. Furthermore, if you are a married couple, in a civil partnership, or living together, while receiving one of the qualifying benefits, then you will also receive the bonus money.
