And so, another year of drama-filled reality TV wraps up.
We’ve had a whole host of new winners on televised competitions this year – from fantastic bakers to iconic drag queens - and a whole load of tears, laughter and disasters in the process.
While many would-be superstars apply for shows in the hope of becoming the nation's latest sweethearts, fame is fickle and there isn't room in the gossip columns for all of them.
So what's happened to some of our favourites since the closing credits on their respective shows?
Here is the lowdown on how the frontrunners from 2019's biggest reality TV shows have fared...
James Jordan and Alexandra Schauman (Dancing on Ice winners)
Despite injuring himself shortly before the final, former Strictly professional James Jordan still managed to win the competition.
Since then, James and his wife OIa have announced that they're set to become parents and 2020 will see them welcome their first baby after successful IVF treatment.
James has also been his usual outspoken self this year, commenting extensively on Strictly and making guest appearances on Loose Women.
His pro partner Alexandra will be back on the ice with Joe Swash when the series returns in January.
Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea (Love Island winners)
They say love conquers all, but sadly for Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, that was not quite the case.
Just weeks after they were crowned the winners of the dating show - scooping the £50,000 prize in the process - the pair announced they had split up, with Amber claiming Greg called things off via text.
Amber hasn't let the heartbreak affect her career though and she was chosen as the brand ambassador for clothing brand Miss Pap, in a rumoured £1 million deal.
Meanwhile Greg has returned to playing rugby in his native Ireland.
Amber is currently single while Greg is rumoured to be dating Glaswegian heptathlon star Emma Canning.
Tim Wilson (The Circle)
The Circle fan favourite Tim was awarded a £30,000 cash prize after his no-nonsense attitude and brilliant sense of humour won over viewers. Also, he brought a cat into the Circle, so…
Tim has now gone back to his life in the country but makes occasional appearances in Showbizland, attending the press night of Nativity! The Musical and popping up during Channel 4's General Election TV special.
He continues to vlog on his YouTube channel where he discusses art, politics, history and his political views. He's also created a weekly Instagram update, imaginatively titled Sundays with Tim.
Ovie Soko and Maura Higgins (Love Island fan favourites)
They may not have won - or ever been coupled up together - but these two Islanders stole the nation's hearts.
Ovie garnered a fan base like no other after being on the show – and who can blame us? His suave nature, sweet spirit and brilliant sense of humour has left the nation completely enamoured.
Since the villa closed its doors, he’s returned to basketball and has been signed as the new face of Asos. He also broke up with India Reynolds (amicably) so form a queue, people.
Maura has countless standout moments on the show but her place in reality TV history was sealed when she hit back at Tom Walker's derogatory comment about her.
When that romance failed before it had even begun, she went on to couple up with Curtis Pritchard, and the duo - who are still together - finished in fourth place.
Maura has gone on to scoop a presenting slot on This Morning and is starring in Dancing on Ice next year.
The Vivienne (RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner)
Side-splittingly funny, packed with puns and shockingly rude - the first UK series of Drag Race was everything that we wanted and more.
The Vivienne’s sense of humour and excellent stylings saw Ru tip her to be the winner early on and really, she had it in the bag after her iconic Donald Trump impression in Snatch Game.
Her prize included an all-expenses paid trip to Hollywood to create her own digital series with the producers of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
After being crowned, she also went on tour with the other contestants and has made countless club appearances.
Together with Baga Chipz (more on her later), she's reprised her role as Trump for a spin-off show, Morning T&T, which sees Baga back as Margaret Thatcher.
Gemma Collins (Dancing On Ice)
While Gemma Collins is iconic for a number of reasons – see her social media, her limited I’m A Celeb stint and falling off a stage – she excelled herself with her Dancing on Ice appearance. During her time on the show, she fell over, fell out with judge Jason Gardiner and only realised the show was live during training.
In the months since, her career has continued to soar. This year she has (deep breath) launched a perfume, got her own show, started a BBC podcast and starred on other programmes including Celebrity Juice.
She's also signed a record deal and returned to the ice for the show's Christmas special. So, not much then.
Colin Thackery (Britain's Got Talent winner)
At 89-years-old, Colin Thackery became the oldest person to win Britain’s Got Talent back in June. As part of the winning prize, the Chelsea Pensioner was booked to perform at the Royal Variety show earlier this month, which moved audiences to tears.
He released his first album – Love Changes Everything – on December 9 and has a seven-date tour around England next year. He has also written an autobiography.
Baga Chipz (RuPaul's Drag Race UK)
Her woman of the people attitude, hilarious fantastic original song and iconic quotes propelled Baga all the way to the Drag Race final. And let’s not forget her Margaret Thatcher impression either.
Baga has continued to be star after leaving the show, completing a tour along with the rest of the Drag Race ladies, attending Radio One’s Teen Awards, performing in the X Factor: Celebrity final and, of course, starring in T&T.
Paddy Smyth (The Circle winner)
His heart-breaking chat with Georgina Elliot during his time in the Circle gave able-bodied viewers a real chance to find out what life with cerebral palsy is like. The moment when he revealed his condition to Georgina, and then the rest of The Circle contestants was moving and emotional. His strength and honesty ended up helping him scoop him the cash prize of £70,000, thanks to his fellow contestants votes.
Paddy has gone on to speak at public events, garnered fame in the UK and his native Ireland, where he appeared on the hugely popular Late Late Show.
He remains friends with fellow finalists James Doran and Georgina.
Molly Hocking (The Voice UK winner)
After beautiful renditions of Someone You Loved, Stars and I’ll Never Love Again, Molly Hocking was named the winner of the 2019 The Voice UK competition.
Since winning the show, the 18-year-old has returned to her hometown of St Ives and is playing gigs and recording new music. She is currently signed to Polydor with a Universal Publishing deal.
Twist and Pulse (Britain's Got Talent: Champions winners)
Known for their street dance moves, Ashley Glazebrook and Glen Murphy were compared to Ant and Dec in the early days of their careers when they were know as PJ and Duncan.
Having appeared on the fourth series of Britain’s Got Talent, and ending up as runners-up, they returned to the BGT stage this year and were finally crowned winners.
Next year, the dancers will tour around England in February.
David Atherton (Great British Bake Off winner)
The underdog sailed across the finish line in October after his fellow finalists Steph Blackwell and Alice Fevronia faced emotional climaxes to the show. David scored high praise from the judges after his picnic basket showstopper, with classic snacks created from cake, biscuit, and bread.
In recent months, he has signed with a book agent at Curtis Brown, so hopefully 2020 will see him release a cookbook. He has also remained in touch with fellow contestants, Alice, Michael Chakraverty and Henry Bird.
Irini Tzortzoglou (Masterchef winner)
Irini drew on her Greek heritage to create some extravagant and exciting dishes with gentile touches – pioneering Ouzo gel (made from the Greek spirit).
After winning the show in March, she has returned home to the Lake District and has cooked at several corporate events, including the Women of the Year awards. She is working on her first cook book, Under the Olive Tree.
Helena Garcia (Great British Bake Off)
When Helena was knocked out of the competition in week 5, fans of the show were furious. Her witchy style and hilarious comments won over viewers but her baked goods were not deemed good enough by the judges, meaning she left a few weeks in.
Since leaving the show, she has returned to her business, Candy Candy, which sells jewellery and hair accessories.
