Zendaya stuns in futuristic cyborg catsuit at London Dune premiere

Zendaya's incredible Dune 2 premiere robot look is the internet's new favourite meme

In the world of fashion, Zendaya is a name that consistently impresses with her daring and iconic style choices. And her recent appearance at the London premiere of Dune: Part Two was no exception. The actress stunned onlookers with her futuristic cyborg catsuit, showcasing her impeccable fashion sense.

The eye-catching ensemble originates from Thierry Mugler's Fall-Winter 1995 couture collection and is composed of metallic plating, complete with strategically placed cut-outs in the chest, waist, and thigh areas. This one-of-a-kind bodysuit, aptly named 'Machinenmensch' or Machine Human, took a staggering six months to create back in the day, according to W Magazine. Interestingly, the design is said to have drawn inspiration from the fictional character Futura in Thea von Harbou's dystopian novel, Metropolis.

While the original 90s look included a coordinating headpiece, Zendaya made the unique choice to forgo it, instead opting to slick back her hair and adorn herself with a stunning diamond necklace. The stylist behind this phenomenal outfit is none other than Law Roach, who has worked with Zendaya consistently over the years, helping her establish herself as a fashion icon.

Upon her arrival at the premiere, the internet erupted with memes and discussions, with some drawing comparisons between Zendaya's cyborg catsuit and the beloved Star Wars character, C-3PO. Others couldn't help but notice the stark contrast between Zendaya's futuristic attire and the more casual black oversized T-shirt paired with silver patterned trousers worn by her co-star, Timothée Chalamet.

Later in the evening, Zendaya underwent a wardrobe change to something less robotic but equally captivating. She slipped into a black floor-length Mugler gown, showcasing yet another stunning look at the London premiere.

While it's hard to imagine a robot catsuit being the most comfortable attire for a 2 hour and 46-minute film viewing, Zendaya effortlessly pulled off this challenging fashion choice. And with her upcoming film projects, such as Challengers, and her role as a co-chair at the highly anticipated Met Gala this year, it's safe to say that Zendaya will continue to captivate us with her creative and fearless fashion statements.
