West Bridgford road closed due to 'significant' burst watermain leak

A residential road in West Bridgford has been closed due to what's been described as a 'significant' burst watermain leak. Severn Trent Water officials are at the scene making emergency repairs, with Canberra Crescent closed between its junctions with Stanhome Square and Stanhome Drive.

The road was closed just before 9am on Tuesday (June 27) and, according to a traffic bulletin issued on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, is due to remain shut until 4pm on Thursday (June 29).

The traffic bulletin described it as a 'significant' leak. During the closure, motorists are advised to use Stanhome Square, Greythorn Drive, Laughton Avenue and Stanhome Drive.

Nottinghamshire Live has approached Severn Trent for comment.
