Weekend washout! Yellow warning issued for thunderstorms in West Lothian

The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for Thunderstorms in West Lothian tomorrow.

Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected over parts of the UK on Saturday, including in the county.

The warning is valid from 9am on Saturday until 11.59pm.

The Met Office has warned this could lead to flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.

There is also a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services due to possible flooding.

And drivers are being warned to take care due to spray and sudden flooding that could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
