Uri Geller reveals details of his plan to 'get into mind of Theresa May' and stop Brexit

Illusionist Uri Geller has revealed details of his plan to “get into the mind of Theresa May” in order to force a second referendum on Brexit.

The Israeli-British TV personality, who stated his intention to telepathically stop Brexit in a letter to the PM last week, told This Morning he needed the help of the British public to secure a people’s vote.

He told presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: “I am not a prophet and I am not a miracle worker and I am not a guru, but I believe in my powers, I believe in telepathy and I believe we can get to the mind of Theresa May.”

Addressing the people of Britain, he added: “I want every morning and every night at 11 and 11, everyone who is listening to me and everyone who is concerned that she wants to pull us out of the European Union, this is what I want you to do.

“You focus your mind on her face and together with me, I will be focusing my mind power, we are going to instruct her to go for a second vote, to go to do a second referendum.”

Mr Geller melted his finger print into a spoon, something he has “never done on British television”, to show he was able to imprint thoughts into Mrs May’s mind.

When questioned about how that skill translated to the mind of the Prime Minister, he said: “I can influence her because when she came over to my home in Sonning on Thames, where I lived, she lives in the same village, I took her out to my garage, where I had my Cadillac, my famous Cadillac with 2,000 spoons riveted on its body.

“I told her to touch Winston Churchill’s spoon, then I looked into her eyes and I said you are going to be the Prime Minister, you will be the Prime Minister.

“I basically bombarded her mind to become the Prime Minister

“She laughed, she thought it was a joke but it wasn’t a joke, it really happened.”

Mr Geller also dismissed the idea of revoking Article 50 and cancelling Brexit entirely, saying it was “denting democracy”.

And responding to rumours of a ‘cabinet coup’ trying to oust Mrs May, he said: “Those people who are trying to control her, to push her out, I say to Theresa May now, and she will see this broadcast, no doubt in my mind, I will send it to her personal email, look into my eyes, you stay put, be strong, be powerful.

“You have an amazing character, an incredible personality, you’re a strong woman so please do what the nation is asking you to do, do a second vote because the first vote was a farce, it was a joke.”

Geller rose to prominence in the 1970s with an act based around his apparent psychic powers and telepathy skills, which were even tested by the CIA.

He is perhaps best known for his trademark spoon-bending trick.

After an extension was agreed by EU leaders on Thursday, the UK is due to leave the union on May 22 if Mrs May can get MPs to back her withdrawal deal.
