British Academy Television Awards

7pm, BBC One

Quite bizarrely, The Crown leads the nominations at this year’s big telly awards (two words: Ghost Diana). It’s up against the likes of Happy Valley, Slow Horses and Top Boy at the glitzy ceremony, which is – again, somewhat questionably – hosted by Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan. Other top shows to look out for are Big Boys, Such Brave Girls, The Gold and Dreaming Whilst Black. Hollie Richardson

The Responder

9pm, BBC One

The addictive but anxiety-inducing drama starring Martin Freeman as a besieged Liverpool copper continues. After some recent poor decisions, Chris (Freeman) and his wary protege Rachel (Adelayo Adedayo) must somehow scare up £15k pronto. But will guest star Kevin Eldon be a help or a hindrance? Graeme Virtue

Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour

9pm, BBC Two

Rob Rinder won’t shut up about art. Rylan, meanwhile, “doesn’t know his arts from his elbow”. And yet, after both recently going through painful divorces, they make the perfect odd couple as they take a gorgeous trip around Italy in the footsteps of Lord Byron. They start in Venice, where Rob conducts Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, before stepping out in drag with Rylan. HR

Red Eye

9pm, ITV1

The in-flight thriller journeys on with DC Hana Li and air marshal Zhang wilfully ignoring the seatbelt sign as they roam the cabin in search of a suspect. Meanwhile, down on the ground, junior reporter Jess is close to uncovering the conspiracy – and a deadly, black-clad sniper is close to stopping her. Ellen E Jones

The Piano

9pm, Channel 4

To Edinburgh Waverley in this week’s musical sob-fest, where Lang Lang and Mika park next to the toilets to observe 10-year-old boy Sum’s dazzling sonata (and bow tie), postman Michael’s self-penned dramatic piece and busker Vroni’s brilliant “bumble boogie”. HR

Dopesick

10pm, BBC Two

Dr Finnix’s descent from conscientious family doctor to twitching opioid addict has been steep but believable, thanks to Michael Keaton’s masterly performance. As this drama’s panoramic view reveals, Finnix is just one of millions left dopesick or dead by Purdue Pharma’s greed. DEA Agent Bridget (Rosario Dawson) is determined to hold them accountable. EEJ
